Best NFL Bets for Week 17: Data-Driven Same Game Parlay Picks (Dec. 28th)
Week 17 is here and teams are clinching play-off spots left and right. This week, we have a three-leg Same Game Parlay consisting of players from one team, let's dive in...
Leg 1: Tampa Bay ML
According to our NFL Survivor Pool Dataspace – the Buccaneers are one of the likeliest picks to win in Week 17 and the spread supports that with them listed as 8.5 point favorites. Bryce Young has been playing great football as of late, but the Buccaneers need to win this game for postseason purposes and they’re at home. Carolina took Tampa to overtime earlier this season, but I’m expecting a better effort from the Buccaneers here on both sides of the ball. Baker Mayfield has never lost to the Panthers, and even if the score is closer than the spread indicates I expect the Buccaneers to cash this leg of our parlay.
Leg 2: Mike Evans 60+ Receiving Yards
Next up we have a history chasing Mike Evans, as he looks to extend his 1,000 yard streak. He needs 91 yards per game over the final two weeks to reach this milestone – which would tie Jerry Rice for the most all-time and be his 11th straight season of eclipsing the 1,000 yard mark. Baker Mayfield is fully aware this streak is on the line, and this is the perfect match-up to stack some yards. Evans has topped 100+ yards in three of his last four games against the Panthers.
Leg 3: Bucky Irving ATD
Finishing up with leg three, we are backing Bucky Irving to find the end zone. Irving has seven touchdowns this season, with four of them coming in the last six games. He has clearly ascended as the team’s lead back, while the match-up couldn’t be any better on paper. Carolina has been one of the softest run-defenses in football – and they have now allowed the second-most touchdowns to opposing backs. We also just saw Irving run wild in this match-up a few weeks ago, going for 152 yards and a score on the ground.
