Daily Newsletter: NFL Week 10 MNF Preview (Nov. 11th)

It’s been an eventful Week 10 in the NFL, especially with the injury fallout and key players potentially missing time moving forward. Here’s a breakdown of the injuries and how they might impact fantasy football and the teams involved:

Week 10 Injury Fallout

Aaron Jones (chest)- Jones was carted to the locker room after taking a hard shot to the chest, but later returned to the game providing optimism that this won’t cause him to miss games.

Najee Harris (ankle)- Najee also exited the Steelers win on Sunday due to injury but later returned and was in for the final play of the game. Similar to Jones, he may miss practice time but there is optimism that he won’t miss game action.

Sam Laporta (shoulder)- Laporta suffered a shoulder injury in their win over the Texans last night and Dan Campbell didn’t provide much of an update post-game. He did try to re-enter the game but wasn’t able to so this one will be one to monitor throughout the week.

Dalton Kincaid (knee)- Kincaid exited the game vs the Colts with a knee injury, briefly re-enter then left and never returned. This could have big fantasy implications with the Bills pass catchers already banged up across the board.

Week 10 comes to a close on Monday night with the Dolphins heading to SoFi Stadium to take on the Rams. Los Angeles are listed as short -2.5 home favorites with a hefty total of 48.5 points. Kick-off is set for 8:15 ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.

Miami Dolphins

The big question mark for the Dolphins here is the availability of Tyreek Hill. Hill missed both practices to close the week and is listed as a true GTD tonight. Miami has vastly underperformed this season due to injuries and the market is still valuing them as a good team, when they’ve been everything but that. Ultimately I expect Hill to try and give it a go but it’s clear he isn’t 100% and they’re going to need guys like Jaylen Waddle and Jonnu Smith to play a role in the passing game. De’Von Achane has essentially operated as their WR1 with Tua healthy this season – he’s out-targeted Jaylen Waddle by 10+ and is closing in on Hill for the team lead. Even with Hill and Waddle underperforming, the team has been able to score with Tua running the offense. Defense has been their big let-down and that could be trouble against a Rams offense that is getting healthy. This is a high total, but I think we could see 50+ points scored in this match-up.

Los Angeles Rams

As I noted above, the Rams are getting healthy and Matthew Stafford has been one of the best QB’s in the league statistically this season when both Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are active. On top of those two receivers, they have Kyren Williams who is among the league-leaders in rushing touchdowns and the match-up with a bottom-10 Dolphins defense tonight. The reason this match-up is so scary for the Dolphins, is their lack of pass rush. Miami has the second-fewest amount of QB Pressures in 2024 – topping only the Carolina Panthers in that category. Stafford has historically crushed when his pocket is kept-clean – and now he has a full complement of weapons to feed from that potentially clean pocket. Los Angeles is my pick to win this game and you can take them on the ML or an over on their 25.5 team total.
