2025 NFL Wildcard Predictions: Green Bay Packers vs Philadelphia Eagles
The postseason has finally arrived and so have our 2025 NFL Wildcard Predictions. We will be predicting the outcome of every NFL play-off game and in today's edition we will break down the Broncos vs Bills. Let's dive in....
Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Green Bay travels to Philadelphia to face-off with the team I have pegged to win the NFC in the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are listed as 4.5 point home favorites in this one while the total rests at 45.5.
Green Bay is at a huge disadvantage in this game in my opinion. Aside from being on the road in a hostile environment, they are going to be without Christian Watson in this game. Watson is huge for them in terms of explosiveness and in a game between two teams that want to run the ball – being able to be explosive when you need to on offense is key.
Jalen Hurts will return from his concussion on Sunday and we see two conflicting trends go to war. Both Green Bay and Philadelphia have struggled to get out of the gate and start fast this season. Hurts could be rusty after missing multiple games, so I think we could see this game start close with the Eagles pulling away in the second half. I think Philly is the most complete team top to bottom in the NFC and my NFL Power Rankings dataspace agrees. If I were to choose a side, I would back the Eagles here at home.
Score Prediction: Eagles 24, Packers 17
Touchdown Prediction: Jalen Hurts
I’m going with a chalkier pick in this contest, and I’m not worried about any looming concussion concerns for Jalen Hurts. Hurts leads the team in carries inside the five this season with 18 and for whatever reason the Eagles love to get tackled inside the five. Hurts has five career rushing touchdowns in five play-off games and I expect that success to continue on Sunday.
