NBA Injury Report for 1/27
We have a huge 12 game slate on tap tonight and plenty of injury news to monitor. You can follow along with injury news all day position by position in my NBA injury dataspace here. Below I’ve highlighted a few of the biggest spots to watch for both season long and DFS.
Josh Hart (O)- Hart is already ruled out for the Knicks tonight providing a substantial bump to all the other New York starters especially in the rebounding department.
Jalen Johnson + Trae Young (O)- Both of the Hawks stars have already been ruled out for tonight, with Zach Risacher and DeAndre Hunter also listed questionable. We could see Keaton Wallace step into a starting role for Young while Onyeka Okongwu and Dyson Daniels will be the biggest beneficiaries overall.
Jakob Poeltl (O)- Poeltl is already out, which means one of Chris Boucher or Kelly Olynyk will start in his place. Olynyk is also questionable to play this evening.
Coby White (O)- Zach LaVine will once again carry the offense in White’s absence but we should see a larger role for Josh Giddey as well.
Walker Kessler + John Collins (Q)- All of the bigs and remaining starters would get a sizable bump offensively should one or both of these two miss. Look for Drew Eubanks to potentially start in place of Kessler – while Svi Mykhailiuk could step in for Collins if he’s ruled out.
Derrick White (Q)- If White should miss we will see more usage spread between Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Payton Pritchard has been fantastic this season when stepping into larger roles and he should see extra minutes along with Jrue Holiday.
Jalen Suggs (Q)- Anthony Black and Cole Anthony will dominate the minutes in place of Suggs should he get ruled out.
