NBA Injury Report 1/29 - Fantasy Basketball Injury News

We have a huge 11 game slate on tap tonight and plenty of injury news to monitor. You can follow along with injury news all day position by position in my NBA injury dataspace here. Below I’ve highlighted a few of the biggest spots to watch for both season long and DFS. 

Lamelo Ball + Mark Williams (OUT)- Charlotte will be very short-handed tonight with both Ball and Williams ruled out. We should see Taj Gibson and Moussa Diabate take the center minutes in Williams absence. Vasilije Micic will take on the facilitating role with Ball out while Miles Bridges and Josh Okogie see big usage rate increases. 

Zach LaVine (OUT)- All of the Chicago Bulls starters get usage rate increases with LaVine off the floor but the biggest winner is Josh Giddey coming off a double-double in the Bulls last game.

Joel Embiid + Andre Drummond + Paul George (OUT)- The 76ers have been thin all season and that will be the case again on Wednesday night. We will see Yabusele and Bona take over the center minutes with no Embiid/Drummond while Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre see the biggest increases in usage rate among starters. 

Darius Garland (OUT)- Huge increase in usage for both Mitchell and Mobley and Ty Jerome will be counted on more off the bench. It also could be a breakout game for Max Strus against his former team. 

Jason Tatum (Questionable)- This would shake up the entire slate with all of the remaining Boston starters getting big usage increases across the board.
