Cowboys vs Raiders Predictions: Week 11 Monday Night Football Preview

Dallas Cowboys @ Las Vegas Raiders

Line: Cowboys -3.5

Total: 49.5

We close the Week 11 slate with what should be a banger in Las Vegas between the Cowboys and Raiders. The last several primetime games have been snooze fests, and this 49.5 total might be just the remedy we need.

Dallas’ defense is terrible, but even so I can’t see why we are making this line just 3.5 points. Given how bad they are, any reinforcements help tremendously and the moves they made at the deadline + the return of star LB DeMarvion Overshown should at least provide stability. Their big weakness will continue to be the secondary, while I don’t think that will improve for the remainder of the season I’m not sure if this Raiders offense is truly capable of taking advantage. We also have a huge narrative in play, with the Cowboys taking the field following the passing of their teammates Marshawn Kneeland. I don’t typically weigh things like that when handicapping a game – but I do think we see a more inspired effort than usual from this Cowboys team.

Overall, I expect the Cowboys to score tonight and it comes down to whether or not the Raiders offense can keep pace – even against a terrible defensive unit. Dak Prescott has been cooking for the majority of the season, and we should see a huge game from the pass catchers in this spot as well. CeeDee Lamb needs no introduction, but I actually think this is a spot for George Pickens to get loose. He’s found the end zone six times this season – five of which have come against zone coverage. The Raiders play majority zone coverage and Pickens has a knack for showing up in these primetime spots. I also think the emergence of Ryan Flournoy is something to keep an eye on. He scored in the Cowboys last game, in which he iced KaVontae Turpin and ran a route on nearly 70% of Dak Prescott’s dropbacks.

Touchdown Prediction: George Pickens

Score Prediction: Cowboys 31, Raiders 22
