Eagles vs Packers Predictions: NFL Week 10 Monday Night Football Preview

We finish off the Week 10 slate with a banger between two of the NFC favorites in the Eagles and the Packers. Green Bay are listed as short 1.5 point home favorites, while the total rests at a modest 45.5 points. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC and kick-off is set for 8:15 ET. 

 

Tonight’s game should be good between two Super Bowl hopefuls, but a few things stick out to me when analyzing the game as a whole. Green Bay is coming off a terrible loss to the Panthers, while the Eagles are coming off their bye week. Philly is also getting healthier, with AJ Brown back as well as some defensive pieces while the Packers lost arguably their most impactful player after Jordan Love on offense last week in Tucker Kraft. 

 

Green Bay has really struggled to stop the run at times this season, which could spell disaster against this Eagles offense centered around Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. If you look at the games the Packers have lost this season – they gave up 18-94-1 to Quinshon Judkins and 25-130-2 to Rico Dowdle. When they get beat, they get run on and it’s going to be a major challenge to stop this Eagles run game tonight. Most signs point to Philly in this one for me, but I still don’t trust Kevin Patullo and the offense as a whole enough to want to back them on the road. Given that, I want to buy into the Eagles defense looking the part coming off a bye week especially with some of the new pieces they added at the deadline. On the offensive side of the ball for Green Bay, they drop outside of the top-20 in the NFL in yards per play with Tucker Kraft off the field. 

 

I think from a betting perspective you can look at the full game under here, as well as the Packers to go under their team total. Green Bay plays pretty slow as it is, while the Eagles are far from an efficient offense. I do think we could see as many tush pushes as possible tonight as well, to send a message to the Packers – the team who led the offseason charge trying to get the play banned. This would aid an under with the amount of clock it can take up to run a few of those on a given drive.
