NFL Week 6 Waiver Wire: Top Pickups and Must Adds

Welcome to our weekly waiver wire blog where we break down the most important fantasy football pickups heading into Week 6
Michael Carter
Carter is still owned in well under 50% of public Yahoo leagues, and will be the waiver priority for those users this week. He not only out-touched Demarcado 23-3 but Bam Knight saw just five touches as well. He ran more routes than Demarcado and looked like the clear lead back. Demarcado also is at risk of losing what little playing time he had after dropping the ball prior to scoring.
Hassan Haskins / Kimani Vidal
With the league-worst Dolphins defense on deck, the Chargers backfield is going to be a hot commodity on the waiver wire this week with Omarion Hampton joining Najee Harris on IR. Last week, I was firmly Michael Carter over Demarcado as my preferred pick up there, but this situation is a little more murky. I think Haskins will handle the majority of early down work while Vidal will be more of the pass catching back, but I also think Vidal is a flat out better player. It’s an elite match-up this week and both of these guys should be rostered in all leagues until Hampton returns.
Darnell Mooney
Surprisingly, Mooney is owned in under 45% of Yahoo leagues coming off the Falcons bye week. He should be the healthiest he’s been all season with that week of rest, and he’s coming off a game with 11 targets the last time he played a full game without injury (week 3). We have a nice total in this Monday night game between the Falcons and Bills and I would look to add Mooney in any league he’s available.
