NFL Week 2 Betting Picks: Panthers vs Cardinals Same Game Parlay

Week 2 is finally here, and we're kicking things off with a correlated 3-leg parlay built around the Arizona Cardinals vs. New Orleans Saints game. 

Leg 1: James Conner 50+ Rush Yards 

We kick off leg one of our parlay with James Conner, who was featured in last week's winner as well. Conner did cede from between the 20s work to Trey Benson, a bit more than expected, but Arizona completely cut out their third RB in Week 1 and ran just two backs the entire game. Carolina featured a historically bad run defense in 2024, and that weakness carried into Week 1 of this season when they coughed up a career high in rushing yards to Travis Etienne. Overall, I expect both backs to get work here but it’s such a strong spot I have to buy into Conner once again. 

Leg 2: James Conner ATD 

Sticking with the theme, we are backing Conner to find the end zone once again this week. As noted above, Benson did steal some work from him against the Saints but the majority of that came in the middle of the field and not the red zone. Conner is still expected to be the goal line back, and he scored from inside the five a week ago on a designed pass to him. I noted last week how well Conner performed in winning game scripts – and the Cardinals find themselves installed as near touchdown favorites here at home. Should they be in control of the game, Conner will see plenty of chances to hit paydirt. 

Leg 3: Tetairoa McMillan 60+ yards 

Finally, correlating with our Conner legs and the potential Panthers trailing gamescript we are backing Tetairoa McMillan to exceed 60 receiving yards. McMillan saw nine targets a week ago and should continue to be the focal point of the Panthers passing offense. His box score results looked completely average but the usage was everything but. On top of his 26% targets-share he topped 40% of the Panthers total Air Yards and finished with just under 2.00 yards per route run. A big game is coming soon for the promising rookie and banking on it this week in correlation with Conner makes sense.
