NFL Week 4 Waiver Wire: Top Pickups & Must Adds

Welcome to our weekly waiver wire blog, where we break down the most important fantasy football pickups heading into Week 4!
Jaxson Dart
It was confirmed on Tuesday that the Giants are officially moving to Dart as the starting QB over Russell Wilson, which isn’t a huge surprise. Dart is owned in under 10% of Yahoo Fantasy leagues and serves as the best option for QB needy teams – on top of being a priority in super flex formats. He has a very tough schedule his first few games, but has solid weaponry and profiles to have a very fantasy friendly game.
Trey Benson
Benson is owned in just over 50% of Yahoo leagues, but should he be on the wire in yours I would call him the number one priority this week with James Conner out for the season. We liked Benson coming out of Florida State and he is best comped to JK Dobbins per PlayerProfiler. Emari Demarcado will still steal passing down work, but Benson is a young, super athletic runner that has been efficient in limited work this season. Stepping into a full time early down starter elevates him to a potential league winner should he hit his ceiling.

Woody Marks
If Benson isn’t available and you missed on Blake Corum last week, I would look at Woody Marks as one of the top stashes in any league 10 teams or bigger. The role has been inconsistent to start, but like most rookies we can expect that role to grow as we progress through the season. It’s clear to me that Nick Chubb just doesn’t have it anymore, and we saw Marks flip Chubb in the passing game against the Jaguars – running more routes. He profiles as a strong pass catcher, and the Texans clearly aren’t going to be as good as we thought in the summer running this anemic Nick Caley offense. I don’t think Marks is reliable right now, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be soon and we like to be ahead of the curve on these types of things in stronger leagues.
Tre Tucker
Tucker should have been in this section last week – and I think he is my favorite pick up since I wrote up Elic Ayomanor after Week 1 – which is looking pretty good right now. Dont’e Thornton Jr is going to break out at some point, but with Brock Bowers dealing with this ailing knee injury and Michael Mayer now down due to injury there is plenty of room for the supplementary pass catchers to eat in Las Vegas with how much they’re throwing the ball. The Raiders are top-five in pass rate over expectation after three games and Tucker is seeing just over 20% of the total targets. He has big play ability as well, which aligns with Geno Smith’s willingness to attack down field.
