Quarterback

Top Plays: Luke Altmeyer, Trey Lance, Anthony Richardson, Fernando Mendoza

As always, playing time is the most important factor in preseason DFS and betting, and we have a few quarterbacks who should see extended run tonight. Luke Altmeyer is expected to play nearly the entire game for the Lions. In addition, both the Chargers and Colts should only have two quarterbacks see the field, making Trey Lance and Anthony Richardson particularly viable thanks to their mobility. Las Vegas will have more quarterbacks rotate in than some other teams, but Fernando Mendoza is reportedly expected to see “plenty of reps.” Given his inexperience taking snaps under center, I think that will hold true tonight.

Running Back

Top Plays: Seth McGowan, Sincere McCormick + SF RBs, Dylan Laube, Kye Robichaux, Eli Heidenreich

San Francisco and Indianapolis both look like they will have relatively condensed RB rotations tonight, which puts their active backs firmly in play. McGowan is probably my favorite overall RB play tonight given the buzz we've seen around him throughout camp. A big showing in these games could help him push DJ Giddens for the RB2 spot.

I also like taking chances on Dylan Laube and Eli Heidenreich because of their receiving ability, while Kye Robichaux has been getting a lot of praise from Lions beat reporters and fits the profile of a red-zone/goal-line back.

Wide Receiver

Top Plays: Malik Benson, Efton Chism, Kyle Williams, Savion Williams, Deion Burks, Dom Lovett, Brenan Thompson, KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Colbie Young

Malik Benson and the Patriots WRs seem to be getting the most attention heading into tonight. I like stacking Altmeyer with Dom Lovett in GPPs, as well as Lance with either Brenan Thompson or KeAndre Lambert-Smith.

Efton Chism was an absolute star for DFS players in the preseason last year, while Deion Burks looks like one of the top projections for playing time tonight as well. Colbie Young should see time with Joe Burrow during his one or two drives and then continue to get work after Burrow exits, making him an interesting GPP play.
