World Cup Predictions for 6/24/26
We are onto Match Day 3 of the group stage and the knockout rounds will begin to form as teams are eliminated. Since the format is a bit different for these third group games, I will format the daily blogs a bit differently for this section of the tournament.
Group B
Switzerland vs Canada
Bosnia & Herzegovina vs Qatar
We kick off Match Day 3 with Group B – where Switzerland and Canada will battle for the group crown and Bosnia & Herzegovina look to keep their hopes alive against Qatar. Canada needs just a draw to win the group after they defeated Qatar 6-0, but Switzerland is a big step up in competition. I was hyping up Johan Manzambi pre-tournament and he showed with a brace off the bench in their last game he should be starting. Regardless, Canada will play hard here but I don’t think they can secure a win. Bosnia and Qatar are about equally as bad in my opinion but we should see a more spirited effort from the Europeans with the knockout stage still in play.
Score Prediction: Switzerland 2, Canada 1
Score Prediction: Bosnia 2, Qatar 1

Group C
Morocco vs Haiti
Scotland vs Brazil
Morocco and Brazil are fighting for the group crown here, and they will both want to secure wins to avoid the Netherlands in the round of 32. Morocco has the much softer match-up today against Haiti and they should see a comfortable win. That’s going to put pressure on Brazil to keep pace from a scoring standpoint and it’s a big reason why I love the over in that game. Scotland is not on the same level as Brazil, but I could see them finding the back of the net as well.
Score Prediction: Morocco 3, Haiti 0
Score Prediction: Brazil 2, Scotland 1
Group A
South Africa vs South Korea
Czechia vs Mexico
These are the most boring set of games in my opinion, and I don’t think we will see much scoring. South Korea was unlucky to not earn a point against Mexico, but they should handle South Africa with ease in my opinion. Son Heung-Min has been quiet and I would look for him to get on the score sheet here in some capacity. Mexico has already locked up the group but this should be a motivated side still playing in front of a home crowd. Czechia has been a big disappointment and I think that will continue. I see a low scoring draw or a 1-0 Mexico win. I love the under in that match.
