Fantasy Football Week 3 Waiver Wire: Top Pickups & FAAB Bids
Welcome to our Week 3 Fantasy Football Pickups and FAAB Bids Blog. Here, Ben walks through his top options on the waiver wire this week and how much FAAB he is willing to bid on them. Let's dive in...
Quarterback
Bryce Young (up to 2%)
Geno Smith (up to 2%)
Jameis Winston (1%)
If you lost Caleb Williams or Jayden Daniels, either Young or Smith is a viable streamer this week. Young also gets the Lions at home next week, making him a strong option for those planning ahead.
Running Back
Jonah Coleman (20%)
Tank Bigsby (10%)
Emmanuel Wilson (5%)
Kaleb Johnson (1%)
Coleman is the top priority for me in all of my leagues this week, even if JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey aren't going to miss any more time. For now, Coleman is the backup to Dobbins, but I could easily see him starting to eat more into that workload as the season progresses. We also have the contingency upside that comes with another potential Dobbins injury.
Wide Receiver
Denzel Boston (10%)
Adonai Mitchell (5%)
Rashod Bateman (5%)
Caleb Douglas (1%)
If you're in need of WR help because of the injury bug, Boston is a fantastic pickup and is available in over 65% of public leagues. He's been efficient through two games despite playing a huge aDOT role and ranks top 10 in the NFL in average separation score, per FantasyPoints. Cleveland showed signs of life on offense last week, and Boston could become a viable starter once bye weeks set in.
Adonai Mitchell should already be on rosters, in my opinion. He has a nut matchup this week against the Lions and has matched Garrett Wilson's target share through two games.
Tight End
Orande Gadsden (10%)
Terrance Ferguson (6%)
Gadsden is the clear priority at TE this week with David Njoku and Charlie Kolar on IR. He's going to have to be involved as a pass catcher and gets to play in a game with a 50-point total against Buffalo this week.
